Enhancing Reasoning through Math

Service Description

This session will introduce 3-5 year old pre-k practitioners to ways to create an environment that encourages curiosity, exploration and discovery. Practitioners leave with an understanding of what math is and how to create a space and activities to help each child develop through hands on experiences; how to plan activities providing a variety of opportunities for cognitive development, and how to choose material that are meaningful to children. a sense of self-identity/ worth; and how to choose material that provide an opportunity for children to experience success.
